Kickstart Your Day: Lush Cup O’ Coffee

Holding a large pot of Lush Cup O' Coffee face and body mask

Ever felt like the only way you could get through the day is to roll around in coffee? Maybe that’s just me. But if you are in my boat then I want to point you in the direction of this little black pot of happiness – Lush Cup O’ Coffee!

With the winter months on the horizon my skin starts to dry out a treat so I keep my skin as scrubbed up as possible. Lush bill this as a body and face mask but I’ve only used it as the latter. I will say now that this is definitely a more coarse scrub so if you don’t like that type of thing this might not be for you. It’s got tiny piece of ground coffee in it that buff the skin fantastically.

As soon as you open the pot the smell of coffee really hits you. The next thing you will probably notice is the texture. Cup O’ Coffee if a thick brown paste that can take a little work to spread onto the skin. A little note that if you apply it a little too thickly it may start to drip off your face (learn from my mistakes). What I do love about this face mask compared to the fresh face masks is that it doesn’t need to be kept in the fridge but still has a nice cooling effect. I tend to use this twice a week in the morning and not only does my skin end up looking really fresh but it also it’s also a nice wake up call!

As far as application is concerned there are two ways I use this little black pot. If I’m in a rush I will use it as a quick scrub. Slap it onto my face as wash it off instantly. This isn’t my preferred way but sometimes life won’t let you get a full 8 hours, do a full skincare routine and be punctual. On the days I’m not rushing about I’ll put it over my face and leave it for 10 minutes to dry out a bit and then wash it off in the shower. I feel like it works a lot better when I do it this way and you get a better exfoliation.

Lush Cup O' Coffee

Lush Cup O’ Coffee comes in two sizes – they sell 150g for £6.95 and a 325g for £13.50. This has become one of my winter skincare saviours saving me from dry skin and packing a punch!

Have you tried Cup O’ Coffee? Do you have any skincare secrets?

Ahhh I really want to try this, it sounds so refreshing! I’ve been a bit nervous about applying to my sensitive skin, maybe I could use it as a body scrub too? I love your blog! 😀 xx
